Dr Vasu Gounden attends launch and workshop of new network of peacekeepers operating in the Southern Africa region.

On 26 January 2017, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), together with the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) and Activate! Change Drivers, jointly launched the YESPeace Southern African Region Network. To complement the launch, the organisations jointly organised a strategic workshop from 23-25 January 2017 in Cape Town, South Africa, with youth organizations and youth from the Southern African region, with an aim to co-create a roadmap for the YESPeace Network in the region.

ACCORD Founder and Executive Director, Dr Vasu Gounden, attended the launch.
