Beatrice Nzovu

Beatrice Nzovu joined ACCORD in December 2009. She was a facilitator on Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding, conflict sensitive approaches, gender mainstreaming and gender frameworks as well as a trained and certified Peer Counsellor. She worked at ACCORD as a Senior Programme Officer involved in Programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation, report writing, research and participation in various seminars and conferences in Africa and abroad.

She was interested in substantively contributing to sustainable and positive peace in Africa. Previously, she was selected for the Wanjiru Kihoro Fellowship (2008-2009) which gave her an opportunity to work with Femmes Africa Solidarit’e in Geneva. Following that, she interned at the United Nations-Economic Commission for Africa (UN-ECA) in Addis Ababa (2009). She has also worked with the Peace and Development Network in Kenya as a Programme Officer (Training and Capacity Building in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding) and for the Women’s Political Alliance-Kenya as a Programme Officer (2005-2006).
