Tabitha joined ACCORD in June 2012 for a three month internship in the Peacekeeping Unit. She read a Masters Degree (2011) in Peace and Conflict transformation at the University of Basel (World Peace Academy) in Basel, Switzerland. Tabitha will assist in the implementation of the Units' outputs and activities, focusing on theAfrican Union's (AU's) protection of civilians; the United Nations (UN) Mission in South Sudan; and training needs analysis for the AU. Previous field work experience has included volunteering in Kampala, Uganda, with the New York based International Refugee Rights Initiative, where she conducted research on Development induced Internal Displaced Persons (IDP's) in Uganda. Tabitha looks forward to applying her knowledge and experience to the field of peace and conflict, while gaining new experiences through her work at ACCORD.
