ACCORD devotes Mandela Day to community service at the Abalindi Old Age and Frail Care Home in Inanda, Durban.

On Friday, 18 July 2014, the ACCORD Staff, in partnership with the Gandhi Development Trust (GDT), celebrated the annual international Nelson Mandela Day by devoting a day of community service and volunteering in support of the Abalindi Old Age and Frail Care Home in Inanda, Durban. The ACCORD Staff spent the day painting and refurbishing the Hall of the Abalindi Old Age Home.

The Abalindi Old Age Home is run by the Abalindi Welfare Society, which also supports the Inanda community through managing an orphanage, a community crèche, a church, and a bakery. ACCORD and the GDT hope to continue its support of the Abalindi Welfare Society and the greater Inanda community throughout the near future.
