ACCORD helps coordinate celebrations marking 60 years of partnership between EU and Central African Republic

The European Union branding for its Open Day in Bangui that celebrates 60-years of diplomatic relations between the EU and the Central African Republic.

Celebrations from 27 November to 1 December 2019 under the theme of “Sustainable Peace for all of us”.

On 25 October, ACCORD participated at a coordination meeting on the perpetrations for the European Union’s (EU) Open Day celebrating and exhibiting 60-years of diplomatic relation between the EU and the Central African Republic (CAR). The celebrations will be from 27 November to 1 December 2019 under the theme of “Paix Durable TI I LA,” or “Sustainable Peace for all of us”. ACCORD and its programme funded by the EU is the coordinating partner for the perpetrations of the Open Day.

ACCORD has been providing support to increase and strengthen the capacity of the Government of CAR, the Regional Inter-Governmental Guarantors, and local and national stakeholders engaged in the implementation of the Political Accord for Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in CAR. For the Open Day ACCORD will be working with the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue, the Community of Sant’Egidio, the European Union Training Mission in the Central African Republic, CIVIPOL, the United Nations Development Programme/Justice, and Avocats Sans Frontieres.
