On 26 November the High Commissioner of India to South Africa, High Commissioner Bhatia visited ACCORD House, accompanied by the Indian Consul General in Durban.
Mr. Bhatia joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1972, and has since served in Indian Embassies in Paris, Beirut, Brussels, and Jakarta. He has also served as High Commissioner in Canada and Kenya, and as Ambassador to Myanmar and Mexico. The High Commissioner also attended a session of ACCORD’s African Peacebuilding Coordination Programme’s Stakeholders Consultation Workshop, which was held in Durban from 26-27 November 2007.
