On 8 March 2018, Mr Kumi Naidoo, the new Secretary General of Amnesty International (from August 2018), and former International Executive Director of Greenpeace, visited ACCORD House, Durban. This was Mr Naidoo’s second visit to ACCORD.

Amnesty International has a global presence in more than 70 countries, a Staff of around 2 600 personnel and 7 million members, volunteers and supporters worldwide.

Mr Naidoo’s visit provided the opportunity to learn more about ACCORD’s recent work, as well as to discuss the current environment both within South Africa and on the Continent.
