ACCORD conducts Civilian Peacekeeping and Peace-building Course in Ghana

ACCORD’s Training for Peace (TfP) Programme, in partnership with the Legon Centre for International Affairs (LECIA) at the University of Ghana, will host a Civilian Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding Course (CPPC) in Accra, Ghana, from 19-23 November.

The participant group will consist of approximately thirty people from UN missions and agencies, civil society organizations and regional police services on the continent.

The CPPC is the flagship course of the TfP Programme and aims to prepare experienced civilians working in various relevant fields of expertise in Africa for service in peacekeeping and peace building missions. This will be done by building on their existing skills and expertise by showing them how these can be applied in the peace support operations context, and by providing them with the knowledge and additional personal skills they would need in order to function effectively in such contexts.
