ACCORD named #1 South African Think Tank in Sub-Sahara Africa for Seventh Year Running

The University of Pennsylvania's Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program once again honours ACCORD's intellectual contributions to peacekeeping.

ACCORD is pleased to announce that it has been named the top South African Think Tank in Sub-Sahara Africa and the top 5 in African Think Tank for the seventh year in a row. The ranking was announced in the 2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report compiled by the University of Pennsylvania’s Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the Lauder Institute.

ACCORD is proud to have been ranked as follows:

  1. 32nd in the category ‘Top Think Tanks Worldwide (non-US)’ and highest ranked African institution;
  2. 62nd in the category ‘Top Think Tanks Worldwide (US and non-US)’;
  3. 5th in the category ‘Top Think Tanks in Sub-Saharan Africa’, and highest ranked from South Africa;
  4. 56th in the category ‘Top Social Policy Think Tanks’;
  5. 26th in the category ‘Best Managed Think Tanks’ and second highest ranked from South Africa;
  6. 34th in the category ‘Best Use of Social Networks’, and highest ranked African institution.
