Abubakar Garba Iliya, PhD holds a BSc in Geology, a MSc in Geology (Exploration Geophysics), and a PhD in Applied Geophysics in addition to a professional Diploma Certificate in Integrated Water Resources Management. Abubakar Garba Iliya is a fellow at the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (FNMGS), the Nigerian Association of Hydro-geologists (FNAH), the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE) and is an honorary fellow at the International Association of Hydrogeologists (FIAH). He has rich academic and technical experience in Water Resources Management, Agriculture, Project Management and Research and has been responsible for the repositioning of Yobe State Water Board; Yobe State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency; Yobe State Water Corporation and the Chad Basin Development Authority while serving as the General Manager and Managing Director/Chief Executive respectively.
