Asia Jane Leigh

Researcher with the Global Committee for the Rule of Law

Asia Jane Leigh was born on the 19th of December 1997 to an Italian mother and an English father. Born and raised close to the city of Varese, Italy, in 2016 she graduated from Liceo Scientifico Leonardo da Vinci in Gallarate. In the same year, she undertook a bachelor degree in Communication at the University of Insubria. She graduated in 2019 with a final dissertation in Political Philosophy entitled “The Modernity of Plato’s Criticisms of Direct Democracy”.

After completing her three-year studies, given her interest in geopolitics and the international protection of human rights, she continued her academic career with a specialization in Policies for International Cooperation and Development at the Catholic University of the “Sacro Cuore” in Milan. Asia is a researcher of the Global Committee for the Rule of Law “Marco Pannella” where she follows in particular the activities at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
