Joel Odota holds a Master of Politics and International Relations from the Australian National University and a Master of Politics and International Relations from Peking University. He is the founder of the China-Uganda Research Network (CURN) based at Makerere University Business School, and his work focuses on China-Africa relations, geopolitical competition between China and the US, and the agency of African countries in global politics.
