Joshua Chakawa is a senior lecturer in the Department of History and International Studies at Midlands State University, Zimbabwe. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in History. His research interests include medical history, indigenous knowledge systems, human displacement, peace, conflict, liberation movements and history of religion. He has published extensively both locally and internationally. Of late, he has become interested on historical effects of epidemics and pandemics on human activities.
