Junhee holds a Master’s degree in United Nations Peace from the Graduate Institute of Peace Studies at Kyung Hee University, where her thesis examined conflict-related sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo through a gender-based justice lens.
Bridging academic research with grassroots engagement, Junhee centers intersectional approaches that elevate marginalized voices in peace and human rights discourses. Her work spans legal advocacy, public education, and community organizing, with a strong commitment to addressing structural inequality and amplifying the lived experiences of affected communities.
She has supported refugee communities through interpretation, legal aid, and awareness-raising initiatives, while also contributing to peace education and youth policy development.
Junhee has presented on themes such as youth participation in peacebuilding, Korean unification, and conflict prevention, drawing on both field experience and scholarly analysis.
