He is a Congolese expert in peace, security and democratic governance. As a Youth Ambassador, he advocates for meaningful youth leadership and the integration of young people into decision-making processes at continental level. He serves as a member of the African Union’s Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC), where he sits in the Permanent General Assembly and contributes as an expert to the Peace and Security Cluster. In this role, he supports the development and monitoring of continental policies on citizen participation, inclusive governance, conflict prevention and peace consolidation. He is also a member of the Expert Panel on UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security, a key mechanism driving the YPS Agenda across Africa.
A jurist and human rights specialist, Moïse Balagizi is a researcher at the African Academy for the Practice of International Law in Paris. He is also trained in climate negotiation through the IPORA programme at the International University of Rabat (Morocco), where he examines the nexus between human security, climate justice and community resilience. Moïse Balagizi also serves as an international election observer and is a member of Integrity Coalition, a platform dedicated to electoral transparency, credibility and accountability.
