Sara Hamo has over 11 years’ experience working in disaster and post-conflict settings. She currently serves as Manager in the Operations Division and leads, amongst others, the Local and National Capacities for Peace Programme at ACCORD. Prior to this, she has worked for the United Nations Migration Agency (IOM) in a number of multi-dimensional settings, including, complex emergencies across Africa, Asia and Europe, both as a staff member and an Independent Consultant. Together, these diverse experiences equipped her with a unique combination of programme management, organisational, analytical and cross-cultural communication skills. Sara holds a BA (Hons) in Development Studies and Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
