Harmonisation Workshop Peace Agreement CAR
ACCORD's Head of its CAR programme, Ambassador Sebastien Ntahuga, presents an ‘Indirection to Mediation’ to the participants of the workshop to develop a harmonised and consolidated communication strategy for the APPR-CAR’s sensitisation campaign, 10 January 2020, Bangui.

Consolidating the collective work done by partners to enhance and harmonise the APPR-RCA’s communication strategy.

ACCORD coordinated a two-day workshop with technical and financial partners who support the Government of the Central African Republic’s (CAR) implementation of the Political Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation in the Central African Republic (APPR-CAR) at the Galaxy International School, Bangui. The workshop produced a single holistic draft-communication strategy for all actors involved in the campaign to increase the popularity of the APPR-CAR which was signed on 6 February 2019.

The workshop gave partners the opportunity to present on their work, lessons-learnt and their ongoing plans. Through these exchanges, valuable insights into the progress of the national sensitisation campaign were gained. The outputs of the workshop will help consolidate the collective work being done by the partners and opened discussions for further collaboration to enhance and harmonise the APPR-RCA’s communication strategy.

This activity was implemented in the context of ACCORD on-going programme supporting the Government of CAR, the Regional Inter-Governmental Organisations, and local and national stakeholders engaged in the implementation of the APPR-CAR. This ACCORD programme in CAR is funded by the European Union; the two-day workshop was sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme.
