ACCORD Founder meets with State Organisations in Washington DC

Dr Vasu Gounden presents on complexities of conflict situations in Africa.

From 7-10 May 2017, ACCORD’s Founder and Executive Director Dr Vasu Gounden had the opportunity to meet with various United States Agencies in Washington DC to present on the complexity and convergence of Africa’s crises over the next decade. Separate meetings were held with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United States Institute of Peace (UNIP) and the Pentagon.

ACCORD has enjoyed a long standing collaboration with many organisations in the United States and in 2012, celebrated over 20 years of collaboration with USAID. The citation was received on behalf of USAID by Mr. Earl Gast, the Assistant Administrator for the Africa Bureau looks forward to an ongoing working relationship with its many colleagues in the US.
