As part of a series of initiatives geared towards violence prevention during the May to September 2010 communal, presidential, legislative and local elections in Burundi, ACCORD’s Burundi Office will conduct conflict management training for youth leaders.

 Drawn from the northern provinces of Burundi (Kayanza, Kirundo, Ngozi and Muyinga), thirty participants will receive elections-focused conflict management training from 22 -26 February 2010 in Ngozi, Burundi.

The training session will be conducted in collaboration with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) with support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Lead trainers will be the ACCORD Deputy Director, Mr. Jerome Sachane, and the Burundi Intervention Senior Programme Officer, Mr. Adelin Hatungimana.
