On 13 February 2026, the Executive Director received an invitation to participate in a prestigious diplomatic reception co-hosted by the Ambassadors of the EU, Germany, France, and Italy in South Africa. The event took place in Cape Town to celebrate the opening of Parliament in South Africa, coinciding with the yearly State of the Nation Address (SONA). Set at the residence of the German Ambassador, the night offered members of the diplomatic community opportunities to engage in significant discussions and to enhance international relationships. The reception emphasised the solidarity and collaboration among European nations in support of South Africa’s democratic initiatives.
