Abadir M. Ibrahim is the Associate Director of the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School. His research focuses on African approaches to human rights, encompassing among other things the iteration and practice of human rights as impacted by Africa’s (post)colonial, religious, and traditional normative systems and heritages. His academic work and legal advocacy centre African countries, especially his home country of Ethiopia, and give particular attention to African regional and sub-regional human rights regimes.
