Lamie Sallay

Intern: Peacebuilding Unit

Lamie A. Sallay joined ACCORD in April 2016 as an intern in the Peacebuilding Unit, within the Interventions department. His duties involved assisting the Peacebuilding Unit fulfil its objectives of positively impacting and consolidating peacebuilding efforts on the African continent.

Lamie has a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration (BPA) and was doing his Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) at the University of Liberia. His work as a research assistant informed the President’s annual report to the Liberia National Legislature on the implementation status of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) recommendations through the Liberia Peacebuilding Office (PBO). His research activities also contributed to reports within the ECOWAS region through a think-tank network termed, “Enhance Capacity on International Agricultural Trade Agreement (ECIATA)” based in Accra, Ghana. He enjoys guiding young people and as a peace builder, he worked to restore broken relationships and reunite families, community members and structures during the recent Liberian Ebola epidemic.
