Rumbidzaishe Mupfiga 

Programme Officer

Rumbidzaishe Mupfiga is a Programme Officer in ACCORD’s Programmes Division. Her work focuses on supporting the implementation of continental peace and security initiatives, contributing to institutional capacity strengthening and policy development in partnership with the African Union, Regional Economic Communities and Regional Mechanisms, and other stakeholders.

Her areas of expertise include peace support operations and the African Standby Force, complemented by experience in climate change and security, gender inclusivity in peace and security, and broader peace and security issues across Africa. She has authored and co-authored a range of publications on these themes, contributing to research that informs policy and practice.

Rumbidzaishe holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (cum laude), majoring in Political Science, French and Sociology, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Relations from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She also holds a DELF B2 qualification in French.
