Sabrina Ensenbach

Sabrina was Coordinator of ACCORD’s Knowledge Production Department (KPD) from August 2010 until leaving in July 2015, and was responsible for strategic planning and reporting, as well as managing finances, human resources and projects for the department. Sabrina also coordinated the production and dissemination of high quality publications and was responsible for content editing and proofreading, acting as sub-editor for ACCORD’s Policy & Practice Briefs, Occasional Papers, Reports and KPD web content. She frequently coordinated the planning and hosting of seminars, author workshops and conferences.

Before joining ACCORD, Sabrina was a Research Assistant with International Crisis Group’s Central Africa Project in Nairobi, Kenya. She also completed an internship with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). In Berlin, Germany, Sabrina worked as a Research Assistant with the Centre for International Peace Operations (ZIF) and as an Intern with the East Africa and Horn of Africa Division of the German Federal Foreign Office.

Sabrina holds an MA in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. Using the former UN mission in the DRC (MONUC) as a case study, her Masters dissertation explored the notion of impartiality in contemporary UN peace operations doctrine and practice. She also has a BA in Social Sciences from Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany.
