Xanthe Gittings

Executive Office and Special Projects Assistant

Xanthe is an Executive Office and Special Projects Assistant at ACCORD. Xanthe joined ACCORD in October 2025 as a Research Intern and transitioned to her current position in June 2026. She holds a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the University of Pretoria, for which her research analysed state reactions to external violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), using both South Africa and the United States’ reactions to IHL violations during the Israel-Gaza war as case studies. Xanthe also holds a Bachelor of Political Sciences, majoring in International Relations and French, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Relations from the University of Pretoria, where she is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
