ACCORD conducts peacebuilding training in Bujumbura

In October, ACCORD held a training course in Burundi for a wide range of peacebuilding stakeholders. Participants at the training included representatives from the United Nations Integrated Mission in Burundi (BINUB), United Nations Country Team (UNCT), African Union (AU), Government and civil society in Burundi – all integral to the success of ongoing peacebuilding efforts in the country.

Also present were participants from Sierra Leone as the workshop created the opportunity for sharing of good practices and lessons learned. The training was facilitated by ACCORD’s Peacebuilding Unit through the African Peacebuilding Coordination Programme (APCP). The programme is funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland and operates in Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Sudan and Liberia.
