Jeremy Taylor

Jeremy rejoined ACCORD in December 2009 to assume the role of Senior Programme Officer in the Interventions Department. His previous association with ACCORD was as an intern in 2007. Jeremy’s portfolio involves coordinating the Burundi Programme with our head office in Durban, as well as initiatives in the Peacebuilding unit.

Prior to re-joining ACCORD, Jeremy worked with an economic development organisation that specialised in the regulatory environment and its impact on economic growth and investment.

Jeremy had also worked on a number of projects for various South African government departments, as well as on an assessment of the impact and cost of ‘red tape’ to economic development in Rwanda.

Jeremy has an MA Cum Laude in Political Science, specialising in International Relations from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg. His thesis dealt with resource competition and its impact on regional instability. Having visited a number of countries, Jeremy is a keen globetrotter. He has traveled across the USA, South America, Egypt, China, South East Asia, Australia, Europe and Japan (where he spent a semester on a university exchange programme).
